Correnti alternate non è altro che l'accostamento delle due precedenti pagine intitolate Corrente e Corrente II "alternate" a una cadenza del pianoforte solista. Ne scaturisce una macroforma concepita, secondo le indicazioni dell'autore, per poter ampliarsi ulteriormente in futuro secondo il medesimo schema (corrente, cadenza, corrente, cadenza...).

Correnti alternate is simply the coupling of the two preceding works entitled Corrente and Corrente II 'alternated' with a cadenza by the piano soloist. The result is a macro form conceived, according to the composer, so that it can be further extended in the future following the same scheme (corrente, cadenza, corrente, cadenza...).
